Jungle Tara is a Green Tara manifestation that was visualized & elaborated over an 18-month period in the ‘ceja de selva’ mountainous jungle region of the Upper Amazon outside Jaén, Perú at a house which honors the native plants ayahuasca & chakruna. Jungle Tara’s energy taps into the mystery and vibrancy of the cosmic mother, Pachamama. Her Green color expresses the lushness and fertility of the natural environment in which she lives: misty peaks, verdant vegetation, amazing butterflies, cascading waterfalls, and thriving wildlife. Her dark eyes offer a window into the space element that radiates from her crown chakra, an expression of the luminous emptiness of the cosmic womb, a matrix of infinite creative potential which effortlessly expresses itself in an endless variety of form and structure, from the tiniest bacteria to swirling galactic structures.
This Green Tara has a distinctly geometric quality compared to other Tara manifestations, reminding us of the amazingly intricate specificity which characterizes the microscopic and macroscopic structures of the endless range of beautiful forms which we encounter throughout the cosmos. Her dark eyes are a mirror of the darkness of the womb, a feminine expression of compassion which transcends all conceptual representation, and from which anything might emerge. In her eyes, we can see the luminous emptiness of dharmakaya. This darkness is not nothing, but rather an expression of infinite possibility before the wave function collapses into something more tangible. Her ability to unfold infinite creative possibility enables her compassion to act quickly, helping to protect those who call on her from all fears and dangers.
Her heart centre is bathed in a warm light, reminiscent of the Upper Amazon tropical sun, which nurtures the lush green vegetation and creates the conditions for life to thrive. Her crown chakra has a central purple space element ringed by shades of blue, which hint at the cloud capped peaks whose moisture feeds the waterfalls and rivers that cascade down the mountains. She emerges from a lotus flower which has a crystalline origami quality, as if she were sprouting from a seed, or hatching from an egg - a ripple of wisdom and compassion unfolding from a singularity within the space-time continuum.
